Quantum GIS (QGIS) is Qt based Open Source Geographic Information System built on top of GDAL and OGR.

It is a user friendly and Open Source, running on Linux, Unix, Mac OSX, and Windows. QGIS supports vector, raster, and database formats. QGIS is licensed under the GNU Public License.

1. WMS is coming in version 0.8, and initial testing of the preview version has it working with GeoServer. Perhaps they will add 2. WFS support once they get 1. WMS solid.

Steps

  1. Go to Layer -> Add WMS Layer...
  2. On Server Connections, press New
  3. In the Create a New WMS Connection dialog, input a name and the URL for the WMS service.
  4. Press Connect
  5. Select a set of layers and press Add
    You can select a different Spatial Reference System (SRS) for the set of layers, presing Change.. button.
